As part of the Web 2 class in the Visual Communication Web & Interactive Media program at Cuyahoga Community College we were tasked with working with a real client to research, design and build them a website. Our client was Garie Waltzer, a fine art photographer.
The main challenge of this project was to build a site that highlighted and enhanced the artist’s photographs without distracting from viewing them. Another goal was to build the site it in a way that museum curators and gallery owners would find useful and accessible, as those are the groups that would potentially be hiring her.
As part of our research, museum curators and gallery owners were surveyed. This was done in order to determine what features of a website they find important and helpful when looking to hire an artist.
As the site was not built by the end of the semester, I was asked to take on the final designs and build of the site.
